Siobhan McLean

Siobhan is an experienced clinical psychologist with a warm, practical, and collaborative approach. She engages various evidence-based treatments and strategies that are tailored to suit the needs of each client. She is driven to improve her clients’ lives and is guided by the principles of compassion and respect. 

Qualifications

Siobhan holds a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours 1st Class) from Macquarie University, and a Master of Clinical Psychology (1st Class) from the University of New South Wales. Siobhan is a founding member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA) and her registration number with the national governing body (AHPRA) is PSY0001356902. 

Experience

Siobhan has over 15 years’ experience working as a clinical psychologist within both the public and private health systems. Her background is predominantly in clinical assessment, diagnosing, and treating adults and adolescents. She has training and expertise in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders, as well as other difficulties including stress, adjustment, sleep, addiction, and grief. Her tailored therapeutic interventions use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
